This Privacy Policy explains how Next Up (“Next Up,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use playnextupgame.com (the “Service”).

Information we collect

Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We do not receive your Google password.

Game data. We store your game progress, scores, answers, and related activity so the Service can save your progress and show results.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and database providers automatically log basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the Service running and secure.

Cookies and local storage. We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We do not use them for advertising.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Create and maintain your account and sign you in
• Save your progress and provide the game
• Fix bugs, prevent abuse, and keep the Service secure
• Improve the game
• Contact you about your account or important changes to the Service

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed for that purpose:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Google — “Sign in with Google”
• Our web hosting provider — serving the website

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Next Up, our users, or others.

Data retention

We keep your account and game data for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing us at the address below. You can also revoke Next Up’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account settings (Security → Third-party apps with account access).

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. We will honor those requests as the law requires.

Children

Next Up is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls provided by our service providers. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are significant, we will give notice on the Service.
